The COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Cream sure is a mouthful, but it’s also one of the most used and loved products in my entire collection. I’m having to squeeze out the last few bits of it and I thought it’s probably about time I wrote a proper review on it. Let’s break it down.
What is it?
This clarifying moisturizer has hydrating and healing properties. It’s full of humectants like propolis, repairing ingredients such as centella asiatica, and of course 4% Betaine Salicylate (aka salicylic acid aka BHA) as well as tea tree oil. All these are giant, bright green checkmarks in my book! My oily, acne prone, and often congested skin LOVES all these ingredients.
Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Butylene Glycol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Betaine Salicylate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Panthenol , Dimethicone, Betaine, BeesWax, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) oil, Elaeis Guineensis(Palm) Kernel Oil,1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Niacinamide, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil
What are the results?
Supple, soft, and soothed skin. Clarified and shrunken pores. Long lasting hydration. No flakes, no dryness, no irritation. Honestly, this product is such a joy to use and apply. I always have amazing skin-days when I use this the night before!
Would I repurchase?
Yes! I’m going to order another tube. I don’t want to be without this. I’m not sure if the brand is discontinuing this, but they have released a similar product with pretty much the same ingredients however the percentage of BHA is lowered to 0.9% on the new release from 4% on this original formula.
