Skincare Review – Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial

Overall: The T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial is a powerful chemical exfoliant aka at home peel aka magic in a bottle! This has consistently smoothed the appearance of my texture as well as made my skin surface feel so soft. The main ingredients are AHAs, alpha hydroxy acids, including glycolic acid, tartaric, lactic, and citric acid. As well as beta hydroxy acid otherwise known as salicylic acid. This also contains some other star ingredients to soothe and calm your skin at the same time as your dead skin cells are getting eaten away. Those are chickpea flour, pumpkin ferment extract, matcha green tea, milk thistle and apple extracts. This is just an overall all-star at home facial that rejuvenates and goes deep to reveal better looking skin. It comes with a pump so it’s perfectly sanitary and it’s pink so that’s a bonus.

How: I use this once a week. Sometimes I use it at night, sometimes I use it first thing in the morning. When I use the Babyfacial I do not use any other exfoliants or retinoids. I leave it on for 20 minutes, it tingles the first 5 minutes but the sensation goes away after. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and do not get it in your eyes. Follow with hydrating and nourishing products such as a refreshing mist, a hydrating serum or essence, and a simple facial oil like the Indie Lee Squalane Oil. Finish off with an AM or a PM moisturizer of your choice, just make sure it doesn’t contain retinol or alcohol in it. I love the Elta MD AM Therapy and the Youth to the People Age Prevention Moisturizer.
